Hey Hamptons! | Wedding at Frank A. Theis Park
On their first date, Tiffany and Tyler sat on a bench at the Nelson Atkins and talked for literal hours.
Two weeks ago, they got married at that same bench, surrounded by all the people they love the most. There wasn't a dry eye in the house and that includes my own.
At first, they planned a big shindig in a big venue and the more Tiffany and I talked about it, the more she realized she didn't need or want all of that. A large party is of course tons of fun, but what's more fun and intimate than having all of the people who have been on the front lines rooting for you since day one, at the very spot you first fell in love rooting for you again!? (Holy run on sentence, Batman)
Take a few lessons from them. Construct an arch (or something else that symbolizes weddings to YOU) in a place that matters to the both of you. Invite just the people you can't imagine not being there. Later, meet up and party with those few extra people. Get rid of any wedding traditions you don't want. Make your own. Get Raising Canes to cater if you want (seriously how awesome is that) and make all of your first dance tracks EPIC. I mean, their first dance was to Africa, by Toto. Coolest first dance ever.
Check out some of my favorite moments from their day below. Congrats, Tyler & Tiffany. You deserve all the love in the world and I'm glad you've found it in each other. Excited to do anniversary photos with you next year!
