5 More Amazing Kansas City Wedding Venues
Last year, I wrote a blog post about 5 of my favorite Kansas City Wedding Venues. You can find that post here.
I thought I would give you 5 more to check out as engagement season is just around the corner! Click the title of each to be lead to their wedding venue page!
Listen up book lovers. I didn’t even know this was an option! If I did? Better believe this place would have been on my shirt list. There are the famous giant books on the side of library that are perfect for portraits. They can seat 150-250 depending on the space rented and their prices begin at $2000 for rentals. The couple pictured chose to have their reception at Tom’s Town Distillery so I unfortunately do not have any photos of their reception space, but you can find more here & believe me it is beautiful. They have an exclusive caterer and specific alcohol policies, so if you want to pick all your own vendors this isn’t the place for your reception. If you love a place that will do the work for you? Here’s your spot!
Everyone knows Uptown as one of the most beautiful concert and event venues there are. Especially in Kansas City. But did you know you can get married here? Directly in the theater? You do your bouquet toss or your entrance from a way up high balcony, they have a caterer built into the venue, and there are also getting ready rooms for both spouses to be. Their prices weren’t readily available for me, but I believe they seat somewhere around 300 (a conservative estimate) and a nice wooden dance floor is put down for you when it’s time to party. Also pictured is the movie poster section you can put your own personal photos into. It’s truly a versatile venue with a dramatic flair that is perfect for most couples.
3. 8th & Main
8th & Main is another one stop shop. Bonus! Unlike the first two venues, this one has an indoor and outdoor ceremony option. The top left photo shows the arbor under which you will get married outdoor. Venue pricing ranges from $1750-$4250 depending on what day of the week you’re married & the venue can seat between 150-180 people. There’s also two suites for getting ready.
28 Event Space has two separate venues. The Station & The Kansas City Room. They seat 200 and 350 respectively. Both places have indoor locations for you to get married with “garage” like doors that can be opened during the ceremony. You’ll have to contact them for pricing but both spaces are elegant, have getting ready suites for both parties and the station, pictured, even has a bridge that connects the two for easy access. Wonderful for one photographer.
Schwinn Produce Barn is a venue I’d wanted to photograph at for ages. Not only is it an adorable barn in general… It seats 250, has beautiful string lights and there’s even a small home out back for getting ready in. There’s no need to leave the premises for photos as there are so many different backdrops available. Pricing is available after inquiry, but I can tell you whatever it is is well worth it.
